Happy 1st Birthday Haley Paige!!!

So, it came and it went :( Just like I knew it would, I seriously can't believe how quick her first year went by. I thought maybe since I was home with her that it would be a little slower than Emma's but it wasn't! Her party was great, she loved her cake!! Dug right in to it without anyone's help and ate about half of it. My little wiggle (I call her that because she is so small and she's always moving) is only 18 lbs and 28 inches which is the 13th %. She can walk, but usually won't unless she has a crowd of people that are going to clap for her, she says momma, dada, emma and bubba. Everything else just comes out in rambles. Here are some pictures from her party!!

Just plain funny...

Yesterday we went to Muskogee for my great grandma's memorial service. We had to drive to Braggs to get to the cemetary, which is like in the middle of nowhere. Just as you would figure, when we got there Emma had to go pee. So I tell her that she is going to have to go out by the car and pee in the grass, this was her response: "WHAT???? MOM I AM NOT PEEING IN THE GRASS, ONLY MAX PEES IN THE GRASS. I NEED A TOILET, TAKE ME HOME SO I CAN PEE IN MY TOILET!!!!" I can't say I'm surprised because she is my daughter and you will not find me peeing on the side of the road any time soon. But the way she said it was hilarious because she's never come across that situation before and she was shocked that I had actually told her to pee in the grass. I guess she knew what she was talking about because she held it for the 45 minutes it took to get back to the church. I just couldn't stop laughing.

Live wire & a lawn mower, kinda like oil and vinegar...

Today Jason decided to mow the yard to cut off the dead winter grass. Everything was going fine until "POP" he ran over the electical cord in our yard (let me rewind)...they are building the house behind us and since they started there has been this huge thick power cord laying in our yard that is constantly hooked up to one of those big green boxes in the corner of our yard. (HAZARD, I think so) But you know how builders are, they don't care about anyone or anything around their house they are working on. Fastfoward...the wire gets caught in the lawn mower, and of course the grass catches on fire. If you have seen the news then you know that most of the state has been on fire lately because of the dry air and dead grass...luckily we manage to put the fire out without the electrical box blowing up. Then...my genious husband decides that he should pull the wire out from under the mower and who does he want to help him...me!! So there we are, playing with fire, literally, and as he pulls the wire out..."POP" again. Twice now he should have been shocked to death and somehow he escapes. The fire department had to come out and wait for the electric company to come take out the wire...crazy! Here is the kicker, I called the electric company prior to 911 in hopes that they would help me, the lady tells me that her supervisor suggests I call the builder and leave them a message for their electrician to come out and fix it. She also adds that her main concern is that we didn't lose power...SERIOUSLY?!? She must get paid a lot to be that smart. Geez. Anyways, Emma had a blast seeing the fire truck and we were for once the "drama neighbors" that everyone comes out to see.

Classic kid movies...

Emma is an avid movie watcher...she loves the classics from Disney and recently Jason bought her 101 Dalmatians and Pinocchio. She is the type that watches a new movie over and over for at least 2 weeks at first, she memorizes the songs and sayings that make her laugh, it's really pretty cute. The night before last she was putting her dirty clothes in the laundry basket and her shirt kept falling off, I was in the bedroom and I hear her say "Stay in the basket you idiot" REALLY?!?!? Did my 3 year old just say that with the sass and attitude like she knew exactly what she was saying?!? So I tried to stay calm and I the first thing I asked was "Who said that?" she replies "I did mom"...(OK that approach is not going to work) so then I asked "Where did you hear that from?" and she says "from you!!" (I am positive I have not ever said that word where she could here me). After going back and forth trying to get her to tell me where she heard it I gave up. I explained to her what a nasty word that was and that little girls do NOT talk like that. Later that night we were watching 101 Dalmatians and there it was...Cruella (sp) was the culprit!!! It was the next day that I realized Jimney Cricket repeatedly says "jackass" in the movie! Luckily I haven't heard that come out of her mouth. What happened to the days where those words were innocent and kids didn't pick up on that stuff...can you just imagine me blaming Disney Movies for my daughters language to a lady in Wal-Mart! HA!! Maybe I should write Disney about bleepers!! To me, this was just hysterical after I got over her saying that!

SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!?!

OK, just a brief outcry and then I promise I will go back to normal. But what the heck was last night on the bachelor all about?!!? Don't get me wrong, I know some people are just destined to be together and sometimes it takes a broken heart to get there but on TV of all places and 6 weeks time! I personally think, Jason the Jerk Bachelor knew he made the wrong decision the second he told Molly goodbye and if that were the case he shouldn't have proposed to Melissa. Hello! We're talking about marriage here not a walk on the beach. I laughed so hard when he said, for me, it was the right decision on THAT day in my life. WELL WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF YOUR LIFE SINCE THAT IS WHAT YOU TOLD HER YOU WANTED TO SPEND WITH HER?!?!?! I was never really partial over Molly or Melissa, I personally wanted Jill to win. I know it was probably part of his contract to break up with Melissa onscreen but still...I am still reeling over this!!!!!!!!!! I hate being a sucker for these shows!!!!!!

Gibson Cole Davenport is Finally Here!!!

I am so excited that my nephew is finally here!! He was born January 7th @ 10:26 p.m. weighing 7.14 and was 21 inches long!! He is so adorable! Congratulations Chris & Kristen!!

Christmas...in January

At the rate it took me to blog about this you would think I had been busy or something...and I have!! My old job called me back before Christmas and asked me if I would work part time from home!&(*&!(*&!! I couldn't believe it. I had been waiting a year and a half for them to pick back up and finally. I am so greatful for this tremendous blessing or my Christmas gift as I like to call it. Jason's also closing more loans recently, and I'm hoping it stays that way. Both of these things combined actually allowed us to feel good enough to take the house of the market! YAY!! So on to Christmas....

This Santa is the best...he hands out yummy Snickerdoodles when the kids are finished talking to him and he sits in a little house. So adorable!

Em was so excited to make cookies for Santa (and Nini and Papa too). I think her favorite part was decorating with the sprinkles.

Haley did do good with her presents...of course as soon as she opened it she wanted to stick all of the paper in her mouth!

She was so excited that it was finally time to open all the presents!

She is in the middle of saying "SLEEPING BEAUTY!!!"
