Ouch!!!

Ok, so I got Emma's ears pierced when she was 7 months old and she did not like it one bit. But lets face it, her little ears looked so cute after that and now she can't even remember what it felt like. Good plan....I think anyways. So this weekend when we were down at Kristen's for her shower I got Haley's pierced too. I never got pictures from Emma but I can imagine they looked somewhat like this...
I feel so bad every time I look at these but I know she will die laughing when she sees them in 20 years. However, it may prevent her from getting her little girls ears pierced this little. Of course, 5 minutes after it was done she was back to her normal giggly self! (More than I can say for her sister, wonder if that means she'll be tougher)

Thanksgiving

We took a trip to Dallas for Thanksgiving to spend the Holiday with my family on my dad's side. It was an interesting trip to say the least, we spent an extra hour making stops on the side of the road because poor Emma got car sick twice and Haley had too many diaper changes to count. Finally we made it and I was never so glad!! Emma had a blast because she was the only little one besides Haley so she got lots of attention. Her Aunt Mena even took her swimming in the hot tub (naked) and I am so mad that I didn't get any pictures of her. But here are some other pictures that we took while we were there.

This is us in front of the fireplace at my Aunt Nita's house where we ended up staying because there was a roach in the bed of our hotel room....don't get the wrong idea it was a Courtyard Marriot for pete's sake!!! But I love their house so I had never been so glad to see a bug in a bed :)

The girls had matching outfits, this isn't the best picture but Emma wouldn't stay in one place long enough for me to gett a decent one. She was too excited.

This is Haley with her Papaw (my grandpa that we never call grandpa)Emma crashed on my Aunt Nita watching Belle's ChristmasHaley looked like this pretty much the whole trip because she was being held or played with which is her favorite thing to do!!

Haley Paige

I just noticed as I was posting all of these blogs catching up that none of them were about Haley...poor thing. She has grown so much so fast! She is the total opposite of Emma at this age, I think I should have bragged less about Emma because karma has come to haunt me. Her other thing is she sticks her tongue out in almost ever picture...as you'll see below. All things aside, I love her just the same and I am praying that she'll be the opposite of Emma when she's 2! She went to her first birthday party for our good friend's Sam & Josh's son Aiden, he turned 1 and is 6 months older than her.

I just started putting headbands on her thanks to my great friend Kristi (she is due Christmas Day with her baby who is a miracle for so many reasons, mostly because she already has 2 boys and would go crazy with another one, here is a picture of us at her baby shower). We started looking at bows and I never put them on Emma for some reason, but I am so hooked now. I'm starting small because she's not used to them and I don't want her to get cranky and yank them off.
So there you go angel face...mommy posted a blog about you and only you!!

A night out with friends...

I can't believe it has been over a year since we were all laid off at Docu-File. It was like a bad divorce that no one wanted but it was out of our control. I can't believe it actually took us this long to get together...These girls hold such a special place in my life that will never be replaced....

I would like to take this time to thank the sucky economy for our break up, you can turn your little butt around any day now so we can get back together!!!!

Getting a new haircut when you have kids...

So I decided it was time for a change and took the plunge...bangs!!!!! Emma was so worried that she wouldn't know who I was when I got home. Guess I should explain...when I take her to get her bangs cut because somehow I always wait until they are ridiculously long before I take her, I say "Who are you, I don't even recognize you". Guess I'll have to stop that. Anyways, the next morning I was fixing my hair and she came into the bathroom and said "Mom, I like your hair but you look silly". Judge for yourself...I'm still adjusting.

Trick-Or-Treat

So I'm a little late posting these but we've been meeting with realtors to try and sell the house :( so I've been distracted to say the least. Emma was the cutest Tinkerbell I have ever laid eyes on and she was so proud of herself. It seemed like the longest day because every 2 minutes she was asking me when she was going to turn into Tinkerbell. And so finally we started the transition....

She was so excited about her hair and even asked me if I could do it like this everyday. This is really the first time she's ever gotten to try out my makeup so she was beyond thrilled for that too. I couldn't figure out why she kept closing her eyes and then she told me it was because she wanted everyone to see her makeup....

Finally she was transformed and here is now the night went....

A day at the park...

Yesterday I took the girls to the park...or the "parking lot" as Emma calls it. For some reason she just can't say "park" by itself. Anyways, she was started to go up on the jungle gym (if that's what they still call them) and I realized she was afraid to stand up on it because it was the kind that had the holes in it. After talking her into it you would not believe how excited she was to be walking on something that had holes in it without falling through. When I was sitting there watching her I realized that this time next year she wouldn't have to play by herself she would have Haley running after her. I'm so excited to see how they interact with eachother, even though Emma has already started the whole "Haley stop touching my toys". Such exciting days ahead!!!!
